rob zombie sheri skate park Rob Zombie and wife want skate park moved because of 'obnoxious noise'Rob Zombie and wife Sheri are making some headlines this week — not because of his hard-rock music or his terrifying movies, but because some skater kids are just too darn loud.

Sheri Zombie appeared at a recent budget meeting for the town of Woodbury, Conn. to request that a skate park near their house be moved because of the “obnoxious noise.” NBC News reports that the park has already cut its hours, closing earlier and being closed entirely on Sundays.

One mother expresses her disappointment about this to NBC: “It’s not fair. We can’t come at night anymore and that was the best time to come, really, especially during the heat. [And Sundays are] when most families can actually make it.”

She adds, “I’ve never seen more than five kids here. … [but] I don’t live [nearby], I don’t know what it’s like.”

Zombie’s request to the town’s finance board is now to have the park moved away from their residence, saying they were never informed of it being built in the first place.

Sheri says to the board:

I was wondering if we could designate some of the reserve [money] to move the skateboard park that was put adjacent to my property which is proved to be a significant noise pollutant and has reduced the quality of life for me and my 2 other neighbors that it affects. … I know they’re trying to improve the obnoxious noise with the wood on the side of the ramps, and that did nothing. I know they have ordered sound fabric, I think this is just a band-aid. The Skate Board Park, should not have been put there. Hollow Park is a huge park, we didn’t know anything about this being put in and were never notified. I am trying to go through the proper channels to get this resolved and I’m sorry to bring this up as I know most of you aren’t affected by it. There are only 3 or 4 homes affected by it, but now that summer’s here and the windows are open, I hear it inside my house which is furthest point away from the park and there’s something that has got to be done. It really should be moved to the furthest end of Hollow Park.

Rob Zombie adds on Facebook that this does not make them kid-haters: “It seems nuts to even have to address this but I guess I will. Some
really crazy articles have popped up making claims about “hating
skaters” and “hating children” . None of this is true and it makes me
sick that someone would print such lies.

“There is a simple
matter going on in which we are trying to find a solution that will make
EVERYBODY happy. Unfortunately someone decided to turn it into a whole
ugly event. What a bummer.”

Hey, we don’t think Rob Zombie hates skaters and/or children. But you have to admit — it’s pretty funny.
