On Thursday (Aug. 30), Robin Roberts started her medical leave from “Good Morning America” a day early to fly to Mississippi with her sister to visit their ailing mother. It looks like got there just in time.
Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts passed away Thursday night at the age of 88. ABC News’ Facebook page says Roberts got home “just in time to see her.”
ABC News also says Lucimarian was the first African-American to head up Mississippi’s board of education. She also collaborated with Robin on the book “My Story, My Song – Mother-Daughter Reflections on Life and Faith.”
