Crooner Robin Thicke has been arrested in New York City for possession of marijuana, reports the New York Daily News. Thicke was found smoking a joint in a parked Escalade near Gramercy Park and was taken into custody Friday (Feb. 17) around 12:30 p.m. local time.
“He wasn’t driving. He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him,” a police source tells the Daily News. The source also says that there was another person in the car with Thicke, but that person was not arrested.
Another sources says Thicke took it in stride, “taking pictures with the cops” and signing autographs.
Thicke’s fifth studio album, titled “Love After War,” was released this past December. He is the son of actor Alan Thicke and is married to actress Paula Patton, with whom he has a son, Julian, almost 2 years old.
