Robin Williams may be gone, but he is far from forgotten. Us Weekly reports a memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 27 to honor the late comedian’s life at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco.
Many of Williams’ longtime friends and colleagues were in attendance including Whoopi Goldberg, Seth Green, Ben Stiller, Danny DeVito, Rhea Pearlman, George Lucas, Joel McHale, Josh Groban, Governor Jerry Brown and Nancy Pelosi.
Billy Crystal opened the over two hour ceremony by sharing memories of Williams. The late actor’s three children also addressed the crowd at separate points.
Us also reports attendees walked away with a ribbon wristband to remember the late actor that read “Love the stillness of life.”
The legendary comedian passed away on Aug. 11.
