“Veronica Mars” alum Ryan Hansen has been cast as the middle school athletic coach in the small screen adaptation of Cameron Diaz’s movie “Bad Teacher” for CBS. He’ll star alongside Ari Graynor as the foul-mouthed titular character and David Alan Grier as the school’s principal. [TV Line]

Jason Lee has found his partner for CBS drama “Second Sight.” “Treme” alum Kim Dickens has been cast as Sammy Wilde, a detective on Lee’s character’s team. Her character is described as a “back-country cougar with a fondness for men and liquor,” so that’s fun. Lee plays the main character, Ross Tanner, a detective who is infected with an autoimmune virus that causes hallucinations reflective of his subconscious, which helps him catch bad guys. Dickens has also previously been on “Friday Night Lights” and “Deadwood.” [THR]

Iranian-American actress Sheila Vand, who made her feature film debut in Ben Affleck’s “Argo,” has landed her first series regular role for TV. She’ll play the female lead on CBS’ “Beverly Hills Cop,” opposite Brandon T. Jackson. The show is a continuation of the movies starring Eddie Murphy, who is set to reprise his role of Axel Foley in a guest-starring capacity. Kevin Pollak (“The Usual Suspects”) and David Denman (“The Office”) also star. [Deadline]

Two actors have been added to the CW’s “Hundred,” a post-apocalyptic drama about 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate whether humans can re-colonize the planet. Australian soap star Bob Morley has been cast as Bellamy, one of the older delinquents, and Eli Goree (“Emily Owens, M.D.”) has been tapped as Wells Jaha, one of the delinquents as well, but also the son of the chancellor of the space station. Charlie Cox (“Boardwalk Empire”) has been cast as the main character in CBS’ drama “The Ordained,” which centers on a Kennedy-like family. Cox plays a son who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer in an effort to keep his politician sister from being assassinated. [Deadline]
