ryan seacrest gi Ryan Seacrest and Bravo sued over 'Shahs of Sunset' reality showA woman who was part of an upcoming reality series on Bravo is suing the cable channel and producer Ryan Seacrest, claiming she was accosted by two cast members in an effort to gin up drama for the cameras.

The show is called “Shahs of Sunset,” and it’s about a group of young, wealthy Persian-Americans in Los Angeles (it’s been billed as “Jersey Shore”-esque). In a suit filed Thursday (Nov. 17) in Los Angeles, plaintiff Kathy Salem says the show forced her into a “bad girl” role and is seeking to have scenes featuring her taken out of the series. She also wants at least $100,000 in damages from Bravo and Ryan Seacrest Productions, which is producing the show. (TMZ first reported the suit.)

Salem says she attended a party in July and signed a waiver allowing her to be filmed. She claims, however, that she wasn’t made aware how broad the waiver was, nor that she would be “blindsided and forced against her will to play a demeaning and humiliating role.”

“What developed was a bullying session wherein [cast members] became verbally abusive to plaintiff and addressed her in an obscene manner,” the lawsuit reads. “Then, after the verbal abuse, someone tried to strip plaintiff’s top off and another cast member … threw a cup of water in plaintiff’s face.”

All that happened, Salem’s suit claims, because she was talking to a man who was engaged, presumably to one of the cast.

Neither Bravo nor Seacrest has commented on the suit. “Shahs of Sunset,” incidentally, is slated to premiere in the first half of 2012.
