Sam Poueu, a contestant on the ninth season of NBC’s hit reality series “The Biggest Loser,” has been in a hospital since Sept. 3 after sustaining multiple injuries from a several stories fall from a building. It is not known what the circumstances around the fall were.
According to TMZ, the 24-year-old sustained a pelvic injury, torn ligaments, a punctured lunge and a broken leg and is currently listed in critical condition.
Poueu appeared on “The Biggest Loser” along with his cousin, Koli Palu, who reports on Facebook, “Sam Poueu has made serious improvement in the last few hours. He has become very responsive to Stephanie Anderson and his Mother, squeezing their hands and kicking his feet. The head trauma has pretty much stabilized. He still has a long way to go but thank you so much for your love and prayers.”
Anderson is Poueu’s fiancee. The couple met on “The Biggest Loser” and collectively lost 241 pounds.
