As much as it pains The Dish Rag
to admit we’re in agreement with Sarah Palin on any issues, we’re definitely on Team Palin regarding the “Family Guy” episode mocking son Trig.
Palin responded swiftly to the show that has “Family Guy’s” Chris going on a date with a girl who has Down Syndrome. Her mother — the girl tells him — is the former governor of Alaska.
But Sarah actually let her daughter, Bristol Palin, take the podium on her Facebook page to shake a firm finger (and we’re not saying which one) at Seth MacFarlane.
“When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to
develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults
directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent.”
People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet.”
“If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks.”
We agree with Bristol. “Family Guy,” you should be ashamed. It wasn’t funny and it wasn’t necessary.
But that’s just our opinion. What’s yours?
