Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger will host and perform on the “Saturday Night Live” season finale May 19 — but not with his own band. Instead, he’ll join Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck and Arcade Fire.
Fans had speculated that band mate Keith Richards might make an appearance as well, but Richards says it’s not happening.
“I spoke to Mick, and he said it’s something that he said yes to many months ago, so he’s just doing it,” Richards tells Rolling Stone. “He’s on his own.”
The episode marks Jagger’s first hosting stint, though he’s performed on “SNL” twice. And we know he can rock, but can he pull off comedy? Check out his promo clip with Kristen Wiig above and let us know what you think.
