dustin diamond sex tape screeched 'Saved by the Bell's' Dustin Diamond opens up about his sex tape, 'Screeched': 'It's my face but nothing else'

Dustin Diamond achieved fame as one of the most loved nerds on TV as Screech on “Saved by the Bell” back in the 90s. But Diamond’s life took a much different path as he attempted to anything and everything to shed his onscreen geek image off-screen in his 20s.

On “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” Diamond opens up about his experiences as a child star. “The hardest thing about being a child star is giving up your childhood,” Diamond says. “You don’t get a childhood, really. You’re a professional and you got to know your lines and rehearse and practice. It was making sure that you were the funniest and the best that you can be because if you weren’t funny, you could be replaced.”

One of the hardest things Diamond ever had to do was to figure out what to do next when the series ended after 12 years. “I had been working for the last 10 years, every single week,” Diamond says. “I felt lost. As I mature I realize, wow, I was kind of going through my rebellious teens in my 20s.”

The biggest part of his “rebellious” phase? In 2006, Diamond released a sex tape called “Screeched.” He was 29 years old. “The sex tape is the thing that I’m most embarrassed about,” Diamond says.

When he learned that Paris Hilton made $14 million off of her sex tape, Diamond got the idea to release one starring him. “My buddy said, ‘$14 million? Holy smokes, where’s the Screech sex tape? You got to be worth at least a million,'” Diamond says. “And I thought, ‘Yeah — yeah, maybe.’ And that’s as simple as it was.”

But Diamond reveals that it’s not actually his own body in the video. “In my stupidity, I thought I could totally fake this. I could get a stunt person to take my place,” Diamond says. “It’s my face but nothing else. Looking back now in my 30s, I realize that was really dumb.”
