scott foley feb 2011 gi Scott Foley plays 'The Goodwin Games,' Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis head to VegasPilot casting news is coming fast and furious these days. The latest:

Scott Foley, late of “Grey’s Anatomy,” will star opposite Becki Newton in FOX’s comedy “The Goodwin Games,” about three siblings poised to inherit their late father’s fortune — if they agree to his terms. Foley will also have a recurring part on “True Blood” this summer. [Deadline]

Dennis Quaid has signed on to what could be his first TV series, a CBS drama about Ralph Lamb, a rodeo cowboy-turned-1960s sheriff in Las Vegas. Michael Chiklis (“The Shield,” “No Ordinary Family”) has also joined the show as Lamb’s primary antagonist, Chicago mobster Johnny Savino. [Hollywood Reporter]

– “Saturday Night Live” regular Abby Elliott will star in a FOX comedy called “Ned Fox Is My Manny,” playing a type-A single mom who hires her more laid-back brother to help raise her daughter (played by Maggie Jones). If the show goes to series, Elliott will leave “SNL.” Lucy Punch (“Bad Teacher”) will also star as a friend of Elliott’s character — which probably doesn’t bode well for the “Powers” adaptation she starred in at FX. [EW/Deadline]

– ABC’s period drama “Gilded Lilys” has added three actors. Matt Long (“Mad Men”) will play the male lead, an ambitious man from a poor background. Brigid Brannagh (“Army Wives”) will play Elizabeth Lily, whose family is building New York’s first luxury hotel. Maury Sterling (“Homeland”) has also joined the cast. [Hollywood Reporter]

Lily Tomlin has joined Reba McEntire in ABC’s comedy “Malibu Country.” McEntire is playing the ex-wife of a musician who has left her with only a mobile home in the ‘Bu to her name; Tomlin will play her mom, who makes the move with her from Nashville. [Deadline]

– Other casting news: Mira Sorvino is set to star in a CBS drama called “Trooper” alongside Jay Hernandez; Bradley Whitford has joined Ali Larter in “The Asset” at FOX; “Daily Show” veteran Larry Wilmore has joined FOX’s “Living Loaded”; Judy Reyes (“Scrubs”) and Roselyn Sanchez (“Without a Trace”) will star in ABC’s “Devious Maids”; and Robert Knepper (“Prison Break,” “Heroes”) has been cast in The CW’s “Cult.” [Deadline]
