sarah jessica parker chris noth sex and the city 2 'Sex and the City 2': Chris Noth too big for 'Big'Wow, and we thought women had it tough when it came to looks-ist Hollywood.

Chris Noth, “Sex and the City’s” very own Mr. Big, tells George Lopez on Wednesday’s (May 19) “Lopez Tonight,” that before he returned to the role of Carrie Bradshaw’s one true love, he had to drop some l-bs. Fast.

“I had been doing a play and the character was a political advisor and they said, ‘You’ve got a fat gut there’ in the play basically, and I said, ‘I’m gonna get a fat gut … I’ve got to prepare.'” Chris confides. And we say good on him. Sometimes Method is the way to go. If Renee Zellweger can pack it on — twice — for Bridget Jones, so can he.

]]>Michael Patrick King met with me a couple of months before the shoot and he took one look at that stomach bouncing off the floor and he said, ‘Dude, we’re not calling you Mr. Big because of that stomach. Get somewhere and lose it fast.'” Easier said than done, right? Apparently not. “I went off to a place in Brazil — I went to a place called The Island Experience on an island — that did yoga, hiking and kayaking for 10 days. “So I got in pretty good shape for the movie.” Ten days? Really? That’s all it takes? Hmmm … maybe men don’t have it so hard after all. Follow Zap2it on Twitter and Zap2it on Facebook for the latest TV, movie and celebrity news Photo credit: Warner Bros.
