shakira Shakira to build children's school in Haiti
Latin singer Shakira is the latest celebrity to come forward to help the quake victims in Haiti. The Colombian-born singer of “Hips Don’t Lie” will pay for a new school for Haitian children. Shakira’s children’s charity, the Barefoot Foundation, will partner with Architecture for Humanity to build the school.
Shakira said that as well as the immediate need for care and assistance, building a new school will help Haiti with rebuilding after the tragic 7.0 earthquake that killed so many.
