“America’s Best Dance Crew” judge Shane Sparks was arrested Friday on eight counts of child molestation.
The 40-year-old Sparks was taken into custody at his home Friday morning on a felony warrant charging eight counts of unlawful sexual acts with a minor, according to several reports. The incidents date back to 1994 and went on for several years, police reports say.

MTV is scheduled to begin a new season of “ABDC” on Jan. 28, with Sparks returning as a judge; there’s no word yet on how his arrest might affect the show. Sparks has also worked as a choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance,” where he earned an Emmy nomination for best choreography last year.
