The Osbournes aren’t going back to reality TV — at least not as a family, in the style of their mid-’00s MTV hit, “The Osbournes.” Family matriarch Sharon Osbourne said on her CBS daytome show, “The Talk,” that despite rumors to the contrary, there will be no new episodes of “The Osbournes.”
New episodes will air “never, because it’s not true! It is absolutely not true,” she told cohost Julie Chen during Tuesday’s (Oct. 29) show. Although it’s been reported that Sharon’s son Jack confirmed the filming of new episodes, the quote used in the story said nothing to back up that claim.
Sharon tells her cohosts that she adored her time on the show, but it’s in the past. “I don’t regret it. We all got so much from it, but it takes a toll,” she says. “I don’t know how people do it year after year. We couldn’t.”
Even a large payday couldn’t get the family back on board. “You don’t have a life,” Sharon laments.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean family members won’t participate in other reality shows. Jack was recently booted from the current season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
“The Talk” airs weekdays on CBS.
