Good news, “Smallville” fans! While the show is done for good (and we couldn’t have asked for a better series finale last May) Bryan Q. Miller, a writer and story editor from the TV series, is picking up where the show left off.
Miller and DC Comics have announced a “Smallville Season 11” comic book series, which will be published digitally beginning April 13, 2012, with a new issue every week. The series will also be available in print beginning May 16.
We’ll revisit all our favorite characters six months after we last saw them — not only Clark Kent, but Lois Lane, Oliver Queen, Chloe Sullivan-Queen, General Lane, and yes, Mr. Lex Luthor. In addition to Miller, the team behind the stories includes print cover artist Gary Frank, digital cover artist Cat Staggs (see above for her first one!) with interiors by Pere Perez.
“Six months after Clark Kent donned the cape and took to the skies to
save Earth from Apokolips… enter Season 11!” Miller says in a statement. “New
allies abound! New enemies afoot! And old friends return where they’re
least expected! Pere and colorist Chris Beckett have done a fantastic
job of capturing the look of the show and the players, and Gary and Cat
are knocking it out of the park on covers. I couldn’t be more excited to
help give seasoned viewers and new readers an all-access pass to
Clark’s first year in the cape.”
