smash season 2 trailer 'Smash' moves to Saturdays as NBC shakes up its spring scheduleNBC has flown the white flag on “Smash,” moving the show to Saturdays to play out the rest of its season.

The move, which is effective April 6, banishes the show to the least-watched night of the week — where, incidentally, its first Saturday airing will come opposite the NCAA Final Four on CBS. The network will also ship “Go On” from Tuesday to Thursday nights for its final two episodes of the season, with dating show “Ready for Love” taking over the vacant Tuesday real estate starting April 9.

“Go On” and “Smash” will continue in their current spots for the next couple of weeks. NBC also makes a point to note that “Smash” will finish out its 17-episode season after the move to Saturday.

Meanwhile, “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” will keep airing two-hour episodes for most of its run, with the exception of March 31 and April 7, when one-hour episodes will follow encores of “The Voice.”

Here’s the full list of schedule changes from NBC:

– “Whitney”: One-hour season finale on March 27.

– “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice”: One-hour episodes at 10 p.m. ET March 31 and April 7 (following “Voice” repeats).

– “The New Normal”: One-hour season finale Tuesday, April 2, following “The Voice.”

– “Go On”: Tuesday airings March 19 and 26, moves to 9:30 p.m. Thursday for its last two episodes of the season, April 4 and 11.

– “Smash”: Tuesday airings through April 2, moves to 9 p.m. Saturday starting April 6.

– “Ready for Love”: Two-hour episodes at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays starting April 9.
