jeremy-jordan-smash-season-2-gi-615.jpgBy night, Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan stars in Broadway’s “Newsies the Musical,” and soon by day, he’ll be playing a Broadway hopeful on NBC’s “Smash.” Jordan (not the ’90s “The Right Kind of Love” singer) will be a series regular for the show in Season 2.

Jordan will fill one of three new roles on “Smash,” created to fill the void of departing cast members Jaime Cepero (Ellis), Raza Jaffrey (Dev) and Brian D’Arcy James (Frank). Jordan’s character is described as a straight, working-class Brooklynite with a self-destructive streak.

And good news for “Newsies” fans: Jordan will continue in his role in the Broadway musical while he films “Smash.”

Are you excited to see Jordan on “Smash”?
