so you think you can dance season 10 top 10 analysis fox 'So You Think You Can Dance' Top 10: Which dancers are the best bets?

In some ways, the “So You Think You Can Dance” Top 10 is where the real competition begins. The eliminations of Malece Miller and Alan Bersten on Tuesday (Aug. 6) mean that fans now know which dancers made the Top 10 cut and will be going on the tour: Aaron Turner, Amy Yakima, Fik-Shun Stegall, Hayley Erbert, Jasmine Harper, Jenna Johnson, Makenzie Dustman, Nico Greetham, Paul Karmiryan and Tucker Knox.

But, of these 10, which dancers have the best chance of winning “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 10?

Least likely

Jenna Johnson and Makenzie Dustman
No matter how much the judges love these dancers — and they do — it’s evident that the audiences don’t fully agree. Both dancers have landed in the bottom 6 (out of only five eliminations!) on three separate occasions, despite solid performances.

As the weeks roll on, the judges’ opinions will have to give way to the audience voting. At that point, these two might be done.

It doesn’t help that it’s hard to tell apart Jenna (a ballroom dancer) and Makenzie (a contemporary dancer) in looks. That gets confusing. All of this is really too bad, considering that both girls are incredible dancers.

Hayley Erbert
Without checking anything, try to remember who Hayley is, separate from her look-alikes, Jenna and Makenzie. Hard to do, isn’t it? Hayley has done much better than the others, but it’s still hard to remember exactly who this contemporary dancer is. That could be a problem soon.

Tucker Knox
Until his knee infection forced missing the week 6 performances, Tucker might have been considered a front-runner. That’s why he got to make it into the Top 10 in a week he didn’t dance. But unless Tucker brings his A-game to the Top 10 dances, he could be in trouble now.

Amy Yakima
She’s cute, she’s talented and she’s been dancing with Fik-Shun all season. But Amy ended up in the Bottom during the Top 12 eliminations. That — and her occasional, literal stumbles — could be a problem.

Nico Greetham
With his happy smile and boy-band good looks, Nico should be a sure thing. Yet somehow he has been in the bottom twice. It seems that Nico just isn’t connecting — or maybe dancing — as well as one might expect.

Best bets

Du-Shant “Fik-Shun” Stegall
Everyone loves a good story, and what’s better than a street dancer who apparently just wandered into the auditions on a whim? Despite little-to-no formal training, Fik-Shun has been a dominant dancer in almost every performance. His huge personality and ability to never stumble make him a true front-runner.

Aaron Turner
Speaking of great stories, what about the guy who is only in the competition because someone else got hurt? Aaron — a tap-dancer of all things — hasn’t had a single misstep since his surprise addition to the Top 20. Could he go all the way?

Jasmine Harper
The judges have nothing bad to say about Jasmine, and she is an incredible dancer. Jasmine’s one danger is the fact that she is quiet and not outgoing enough to be a fan-favorite. That aside, it’s going to be difficult to stop her.

Paul Karmiryan
Keep in mind that this guy already won the Armenian version of “So You Think You Can Dance.” He’ll be tough to unseat at this point.
