“Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter is hard at work on the show’s Season 7, which will be the last for the series, but he’s also in the middle of developing his next show.
“The Bastard Executioner” got a pilot order from FX, and Sutter has been scouting out locations in London to use as a possible home when it comes to shooting the series. Before flying overseas though, he appeared on “Larry King Now.”
During the interview, Sutter gave the first real details about what to expect from the series. “It’s the story of a medieval executioner,” he says. “It takes place in the 14th century in the UK.”
That isn’t much of a surprise, given the title. However, when asked if he was writing a part for his wife and “Sons of Anarchy” star Katey Sagal, Sutter replies, “I probably will.”
He also briefly spoke about star Charlie Hunnam’s withdrawing from “Fifty Shades of Grey.” “Charlie’s a really private guy and I respect that,” Sutter says. “I think that the idea of that movie became bigger than the character and the work and everything else and that’s not really who Charlie is.”
“Sons of Anarchy” returns in September 2014.
