More sci-fi drama is headed to Starz. On Wednesday (July 11) the cable network announced the development of two new projects from “Spartacus” talent Steven S. DeKnight and J. Michael Straczynski.
“Spartacus” creator DeKnight will be leading the charge on “Incursion,” an action/thriller that follows a squad of soldiers caught in a war against a hostile alien race. Each season, reads the optimistic press release, the battle will be fought on a new planet.
Writer/producer Straczynski will be trying his hand at vampires with “Vlad Dracula.” The show will trace the evolution of the Prince of Wallachia into the world’s “most-feared vampire.” The series promises drama in the form of Dracula’s loss of humanity, his wife and his kingdom as he sinks further into his new vampire life.
