Irina Shayk graces the cover of Sports Illustrated’s 2011 swimsuit issue.
The 25-year-old Shayk was revealed as the cover model in larger-than-life fashion Monday (Feb. 14) in New York as part of “The Late Show with David Letterman.” She and nine other models read the Top 10 list, and later in the show Letterman unveiled a billboard near his theater with her cover shot.
(The Internet scooped Letterman’s unveiling, however, as people tweeted pictures of the billboard before the show aired.)
The photo shows her wearing a very small pink and yellow bikini and kneeling in the sand in Hawaii. She’s making her fifth appearance in the swimsuit issue and her first on the cover.
What else do you need to know about Shayk? Well, she’s from a tiny village in Russia called Yemanzhelinsk. She’s modeled for Lacoste, Armani Exchange, Guess and LaPerla, and she appears in the video for Kanye West’s song “Power.” She’s also dating soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Below, Shayk and her fellow models present Monday’s “Late Show” Top 10 — the top 10 good things about appearing in the swimsuit issue.
