OK, teens, assuming you and modern dance majors are the only ones still reading: Ready for the latest installment in the “Step Up” franchise? “Step Up Revolution” with its fresh moves and sick beats (are the kids still saying “fresh” and “sick”?) hits theaters July 27, but you can watch the first three minutes of it right now.
The latest film in the dance movie series features Kathryn McCormick (“So You Think You Can Dance”) as Emily, who arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer. She falls hard for Sean (Ryan Guzman), the leader of flash mob dance crew The Mob. But then a wealthy businessman threatens to develop The Mob’s neighborhood, so Emily joins forces with The Mob to protest … with dance.
