Three cast member of “Anchorman 2” stopped by “Watch What Happens Live” on Tuesday (Dec. 17), where they did a lot of talking about everything but their new movie.

Above, Steve Carell gets 30 seconds on the clock to talk about Ryan Gosling‘s penis from “Crazy Stupid Love.” He tells host Andy Cohen that “from what [he] could see,” Gosling is well-groomed. Carell also says that Gosling smells like “fresh-baked cookies,” which … sounds about right.

A viewer then asks Carell and Will Ferrell about One Direction — specifically, what they smelled like during their appearance on “Saturday Night Live” last week.

“There was a hormone scent. There was a youthful, hormone scent that I was actually very attracted to,” deadpans Carell. But then he says in all seriousness, “I’m a big 1D fan. For realsies. … What nice guys, really, really sweet.”

Carell also shared a funny anecdote about how people come running up to him on the street and say, “That’s what she said,” which is one of the catchphrases of his “Office” character Michael Scott. Except they don’t always get the joke.

“Some people don’t understand the structure of the joke. You’ll say, ‘Boy, I got out of a cab today’ and they’ll say, ‘That’s what she said.’ That’s really not how it works. If I said, ‘I slipped and it was really hard,’ then you go! But yeah, they get it wrong a lot,” he says.

Later, Carell actually works it into the show. The exchange is as follows:

James Marsden, of his hair in “Anchorman 2”: “A lot of time spent blowing that out.”
Carell: “That’s what she said. … I actually got sort of ill doing that because I just never do it. And when people ask me to do it, I won’t.”
Cohen: “It was exciting hearing you.”

“Anchorman 2” opens nationwide Wednesday, Dec. 18.
