andrea boehlke survivor caramoan 'Survivor: Caramoan's' Andrea Boehlke: 'I appreciated the [blindside]. I can't really be upset'It wasn’t the most epic Tribal Council of the season, but when Andrea Boehlke was voted off “Survivor: Caramoan,” it was definitely the biggest blindside. She tells Zap2it that she couldn’t help but respect the move.

Are you glad you went back on “Survivor?

“I’m definitely happy that I went back. This time was so much fun. I liked the people a lot more. I liked the people on Redemption Island, but I wasn’t allowed to talk to the other tribe. Here I got to interact with everyone … everyone was so much fun. I had a blast. It was cool to be a part of the season with epic Tribal Councils and blindsides.”

You were in surprisingly good spirits for someone who got voted off with an Idol in her pocket. Tell us a little bit about that.

“It’s so funny that I was freaking out the entire season and then that one day, I felt calm, I was at ease, very little paranoia. Then of course that’s the day that I’m blindsided. This is ‘Survivor’ — if you have an Idol, they’re going to split the votes. But I was so focused on setting up the blindside of Brenda that I failed to see that people were trying to get me out. But when it’s all said and done, it was a great move. I appreciated the move. I can’t really be upset at those people.”

This may be the editing, but it looked like Cochran, Brenda and Dawn could barely contain themselves at Tribal Council — did you have any inkling that you should play the Idol before the votes were read?

“I didn’t. I was so in love with my weird plan. It was insane. I wasn’t nervous. I think that shows how well they hid it from me. That day, we were seriously napping the entire day, nobody’s talking strategy. Which is weird, I should’ve been a little more alerted, but I thought we should keep calm so Brenda doesn’t see it coming. But I guess I should’ve been a little more paranoid.”

Would you go back on the show a third time if they asked?

“I don’t think so. I had a great time this time. I don’t think another season could top this one. I also don’t think I would make it very far. I think I want to go out on this note. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, this is a good way to end. It’s weird to say it’s a good way to end by being blindsided with an Idol, but it’s a good way to go out [laughs].”

Who did you think was in the best position when you were voted off?

“I would think Dawn and Cochran, because from day one, it was always us three that were calling a lot of the shots, with Phillip. Day one we created the Stealth R Us alliance, it was always the four … I think that they orchestrated the blindside and they’re in control right now.”

“Survivor” airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
