"Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation Susan Boyle appears on the cover of the British tabloid The Sun with a startling new look.

Susanboyle_280_788804a Gone is her matronly gray frizzy hair and those bushy brows, frumpy frock and old lady pearls.

Now she has freshly dyed and styled reddish brown locks and newly shaped eyebrows. She definitely does look hipper and younger. And we like the black leather jacket, khaki pants and Burberry muffler. Not what we would have expected to see her wearing AT ALL.

But let's hope she stops here and doesn't head for the tanning booth or the gym. Or worse, to the dermatologist for some Botox and filler.

Toni Jones, assistant fashion editor of The Sun, praised Boyle for getting a 35-pound ($51) haircut and color locally at Miss Toner salon in Whitburn, near Blackburn, West Lothian, instead of going to a swanky shop in London.

What do you think of Susan Boyle's new makeover? Did you prefer her old look?

Does this transformation make you wonder if that granny gown and pearls was really from her closet or if the show's coordinators dressed her to make her performance more shocking?

Maybe she's really been kissed before too?
