stallone blackmailed Sylvester Stallone blackmailed by half sister Toni Ann Filiti for millions

Sylvester Stallone has some family drama that is only now seeing the light of day. Toni-Ann Filiti, the half-sister of Stallone, blackmailed him in 1987 and got a massive payout as a result.

The New York Post has found papers that show Stallone agreed to give Filiti $2 million 26 years ago, in addition to $16,666.66 per month for the rest of her life and a trust with $50,000 per year “for psychiatric and medical expenses.” The cause? Filiti “asserted claims for personal injury, including physical injury” against Stallone, who “vigorously denied and continues to deny and dispute all claims of wrongdoing.”

They decided to settle the issue outside of court. Filiti died in August 2012 at age 48 after a battle with lung cancer. Stallone and Filiti’s mother, Jacqueline Stallone, tells the Post that the settlement was “the result of blackmail by Filiti,” who she describes as a “pillpopping drug addict desperate for cash.”

“This was nothing more than a shakedown,” Jacqueline says. “Toni-Ann was on 65 Oxycontin pills a day, and she threatened Sylvester. A drug addict will do anything. When Sylvester became famous, she didn’t have to hook. He was trying to help her. He caved in.”

Stallone’s representative adds, “Unfortunately, celebrities, politicians and athletes frequently find themselves the targets of blackmail efforts by family members and associates who fabricate claims in order to extort payments from them.”
