This genre actor is about to have a busy schedule full of The CW: “Battlestar Galactica” and “Dollhouse” fan-favorite Tahmoh Penikett just landed a recurring role on The CW’s midseason alien drama “Star-Crossed.”

Penikett will play a mysterious SEU (Sector Enforcement Unit) Officer Jack Beaumont, who is responsible for supervision within the Atrian (alien) sector walls, E! Online reports. First appearing in episode two, Penikett is set to recur.

“Star-Crossed” is a sci-fi drama about two teenagers — one alien boy, Roman (“90210” star Matt Lanter), and one human girl, Emery (“Friday Night Lights” star Aimee Teegarden). When an Atrian spacecraft lands in 6-year-old Emery’s town resulting in an immediate battle, she befriends one of the young Atrians, whom she helps until authorities capture him. 10 years later, a group of Atrian teens is allowed to enroll in the high school to test the ability of the two species to integrate, and Emery learns that Roman, the boy she helped, wasn’t killed — as she had thought — but kept in an internment camp with the rest of the aliens. The two rekindle their relationship, while animosity continues to grow between the two communities, putting Roman and Emery’s bond — and the chance for peace — to the test.

This isn’t Penikett’s first role on The CW. Not only did he already guest star in an episode of “Arrow,” but he is also set to play a major role in the upcoming Season 9 of “Supernatural.” Pulling double-duty on the network this season, he’ll play Ezekiel, a dignified warrior angel injured in his fall to earth.

Another actor joining “Star-Crossed” is the previously reported “Ray Donovan” star Johnathon Schaech who will play Lanter’s uncle who has a dark and shady past as a radical militant Atrian, though he claims to have changed his ways and serves as a politician in the sector.

“Star-Crossed” debuts midseason on The CW.
