Taylor Swift doesn’t really strike us as the wedding crashing type, but that’s exactly what mother of the bride Victoria Gifford Kennedy is claiming the pop singer did on Saturday (Aug. 18).
Victoria tells the Boston Herald that she didn’t want Taylor and new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, to distract from the nuptials of her daughter, Kyle Kennedy, and Liam Kerr.
“They texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come,” Victoria says. “I responded with a very clear, ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway. … I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”
A source at the hotel reported seeing Taylor being asked to leave the
Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel where the wedding was being held. But Taylor’s rep tells a different story.
“There is no truth to that,” Paula Erickson tells the Herald. “Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.”
Do you think Taylor and Connor crashed the wedding?
