The blue carpet at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards saw its share of fashion misses — ahem, Demi Lovato — but some ladies won our hearts with their style choices.
“Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” star Lily Collins rocked the cutest frock of the night. The top was a chort-sleeved black tunic style, with slightly exaggerated shoulders. The skirts was solid black on the back, white with black palm tree silhouettes on the front, and was lined with a pink background covered in the same palm trees. Only thing that didn’t quite work for Lily was the weird hair do.
Gabby Douglas took the stage to accept the award for Choice Female Athlete, and announce her plans for the 2016 Olympics. But before that, she flaunted her gymnast physique on the blue carpet with a cute yellow mini-dress, wrapped in a white ribbon covered in yellow triangle embellishments. Totally age appropriate, and a great standout color.
“The Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev turned heads with a paint-splattered jumpsuit. On a carpet that was nearly overrun with jumpsuits, Nina’s stood out as heads above the rest. Go girl.
“Ender’s Game” star Hailee Steinfeld gets an A+ from head-to-toe. The hair and makeup are perfection, and the mid-calf red and navy dress that goes from sleeveless and form-fitting to a fun calf ruffle is a total win.
Another lady that wore the jumpsuit trend well was Fox Sports host Erin Andrews. She kept it simple in all black, with a beautiful statement belt and a lovely, loose side braid. not loving the blue clutch accent, but you can’t win ’em all, Erin.
