Every dog may have its day, but “Terriers” will probably have to wait till it gets to doggy heaven.
The critically beloved but low-rated FX series will not be renewed for a second season, it was announced Monday, Dec. 6.
In its season finale, “Terriers” only averaged 784,000 viewers and had a 0.3 rating in adults 18-49, according to Zap2it partner TV by the Numbers.
The show centers on Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue), a recovering alcoholic
and former cop who partners with his BFF, former criminal Britt Pollack
(Michael Raymond-James) for their makeshift private investigation
FX President and General Manager John Landgraf will talk to reporters later in the day to provide more details on the network’s decision to cancel the show.
