In addition to winning the best picture race, female lead Berenice Bejo was named best actress and director Michel Hazanavicius was honored as best director. Star Jean Dujardin lost the best actor category to Omar Sy, star of French blockbuster “Intouchables,” reports the Associated Press.

The film — and its stars — will appear next on Sunday at the Oscars where the film is heavily favored to win best picture.
