PTA= 'The Bachelorette': Kalon didn't come off as a nice guy, says eliminated bachelor Randy

“The Bachelorette” Season 8 kicked off Monday night (May 14) with Emily Maynard meeting her 25 eligible suitors. ABC is doing the “After Party” segment again with fashion blogger Dana Weiss and former “Bachelorette” DeAnna Pappas.

The girls say they loved “Bump It,” who is Ryan the ex-football player from Georgia, so nicknamed because of his ridiculous hairdo. Hmm. They also liked Doug, who brought the letter from his kid. Weiss thinks that was really authentic and we must disagree – there’s no way his 11-year-old son did that of his own free will and idea, so then it becomes hokey and a ploy.

Then the show welcomes one of the eliminated guys – Randy, the one who showed up dressed like Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother, which is one of the weirdest introductions we’ve ever seen. Randy doesn’t really have much to say in defense of his choice, but at least he knows it was the wrong way to go.

Randy also says that Kalon was not his favorite guy.

“I think this season, these guys, a lot of them, they were actually really cool,” says Randy. “There were a couple guys who were a little bit standoffish. Helicopter guy, what’s his name, Kalon. He was a little bit standoffish. I didn’t really know him at all, we didn’t really have a conversation. But he just didn’t come off as ‘I’m a really nice guy.'”

He also says it’s going to be an emotional season, because a lot of the guys came in taking it really seriously. We certainly saw a lot of tears in the season-long tease. Heh.

“The Bachelorette” airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
