borgias strong premiere ratings showtime 320 'The Borgias,' 'Camelot,' 'The Killing,' and 'The Kennedys' premieres attract big ratings

In Monday’s (April 4) TV Snacks, Cable attracted record-setting numbers this past weekend with strong series premiere ratings. Plus, Oxygen announces the premiere date for “Glee’s” reality spinoff.
“Camelot,” Starz’s reimagining of the Arthurian legend attracted about 1.1 million viewers to its Friday (April 1) premiere, making it the network’s highest rated premiere since “Spartacus.” [Starz]
Controversial miniseries “The Kennedys” Sunday premiere and encore showing brought 1.9 million viewers to the ReelzChannel, its largest number for the five-year-old network. [ReelzChannel]
Also, Sunday’s premiere of AMC’s “The Killing” averaged 2.7 million viewers, which is only second in ratings to the first episode of their hit series, “The Walking Dead.” [AMC]

And Showtime’s “The Borgias” attracted the pay channel’s largest premiere audience for a drama series in seven years on Sunday with 1.06 million viewers. [Showtime
“The Glee Project,” which is executive produced by Ryan Murphy, will premiere on Sunday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Oxygen. On the reality competition, the contestants will battle it out to for a guest spot next season on FOX’s “Glee.” [Oxygen]

Andy Cohen and “Watch What Happens Live” isn’t going anywhere. The network renewed it for a fifth season starting in September and announced it would be airing its 100th episode on Thursday, April 7 at 9 p.m. ET. [Bravo]

Look who’s back in business at NBC: It’s former Peacock boss Ben Silverman, whose company Electus is producing a competition show called “Fashion Star” for the network. Elle Macpherson will host the “Project Runway”-esque show (it’s from former “Runway” producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz), which will also allow viewers to buy each week’s winning design.
