Diem Brown’s third cancer prognosis seems to have taken a dark turn according to a tweet from “The Challenge” alum.
Brown, who has previously battled ovarian cancer twice, was diagnosed with colon cancer in August 2014. In September, the reality star and activist was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery after tumors were discovered on her kidneys. A few weeks later Brown was told the cancer has spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
According to People, Brown was slated to start another round of chemotherapy on Nov. 18. Now it seems that her doctors have run out of ways to help. Still, Brown remains focused on overcoming the cancer diagnosis and focusing on her life once she’s cancer free.
In another tweet, Diem asks for outreach and support, informing her followers to contact E! News correspondent and Brown’s best friend Alicia Quarles with any helpful information.
In addition to her appearances on “The Challenge,” Brown has been an active supporter of Stand Up 2 Cancer. She also founded the medical crowdfunding website MedGift.com, which allows patients, their families and friends to raise money to ease their financial burdens, find support and track their progress. Quarles has also set up a page for Brown for fans to leave messages of support.
Brown’s on-again, off-again boyfriend and fellow “The Challenge” alum, Chris “CT” Tamburello, has used his Instagram and social media accounts to also promote the page. He snapped a picture of him and Brown together after her kidney surgery in September asking fans to help support Diem’s Next Challenge.
