The “Crazy Ones” star isn’t much of a fan of the celebrity couple, reportedly moving her family out of their home once she got word that West and Kardashian were moving into the neighborhood.
A source tells the National Enquirer (so, you know, take it with a grain of salt), “The moment Sarah and [husband] Freddie [Prinze Jr.] heard Kim and Kanye bought a home in their Bel-Air neighborhood, they put their house up for sale. They’re not living in the more laid-back Mandeville Canyon area of Los Angeles.”
Gellar and Prinze, parents of four-year-old daughter Charlotte and year-old son Rocky, had lived in their seven-bedroom home since 2001, until earlier in 2013 when Kardashian and West purchased a nearby property and quickly began a renovation project meant to expand the home’s 10,000 square feet to 14,000.
“A collective groan went up in the neighborhood over fears that Kim and Kanye were turning their house into a tacky nouveau riche McMansion,” the source says. “The remodeling alone is a huge headache. Tractors and construction crews start making a racket at the crack of dawn, and now photographers are constantly lurking around.”
Reportedly weary of the presence of the cameras that follow Kardashian’s every move, Gellar made the decision to leave. “Sarah was cringing at the thought of reality TV camera intruding on their peace and quiet, not to mention the prospects of Kanye terrorizing everyone with his angry rants,” the source continues. “She also figured that the presence of Kim and Kanye would devalue surrounding properties. Rather than deal with the headaches, Sarah suggested to Freddie that they move.”
Gellar and her brood are reported to have moved into a $6.1 million six-bedroom home closer to the beach — and far away from Kimye.
