john oliver daily show 'The Daily Show': John Oliver takes hosting reins in JuneComedy Central has set the dates for John Oliver‘s stint as guest host of “The Daily Show.”

Oliver, who’s been with the show since 2006, will take over for Jon Stewart on June 10 and host eight weeks of new shows. Stewart is taking the summer off to direct his first movie, “Rosewater,” and will return Sept. 3. (Four weeks of previously scheduled reruns will also air during Stewart’s time off.)

“Don’t worry,” Oliver jokes. “It’s still going to be everything that you love about ‘The Daily Show,’ just without the thing that you love the most about it.”

Guests for Oliver’s first week will be Seth Rogen, “Veep” creator Armando Iannucci, Mavis Staples and Fareed Zakaria. Tickets for tapings during the summer became available Wednesday (May 1).
