BBC Two’s “The Hollow Crown: The War of the Roses” won’t premiere until sometime in 2016, but the first image of Benedict Cumberbatch King Richard III has been released.
The three-part series, a sequel to 2012’s “The Hollow Crown,” will adapt William Shakespeare’s “Henry VI” and “Richard III.” Along with the photo, which was tweeted by BBC Two, additional casting was announced. Andrew Scott will appear as King Louis, while Michael Gambon plays Mortimer.
They join Cumberbatch, along with the previously announced Judi Dench, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Bonneville and more for the project.
