With “The Hunger Games” hosting its official red carpet premiere tonight (March 12) in Los Angeles, it’s only fitting that Lionsgate would release another clip from the finished film, which opens March 23.

In MTV’s exclusive clip, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) sits down with Caesar Flickman before the games begin for his televised interview broadcast throughout Panem.

“I’ll tell you what, Peeta. You go out there, and you win this thing. And when you get home, she’ll have to go out with you,” Caesar tells the young District 12 tribute.

“Thanks, but I don’t think winning’s going to help me at all … because she came here with me,” he tells the TV host and shocks the crowd.

You guys, the love story between Peeta and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is epic. Epic! We can’t wait for this movie.

PS: Is anyone else in love with the way Stanley Tucci enunciates each syllable of Peeta’s name? Or is it just us? (Yes, we’re so excited for this movie that we’re just making up stuff to love now.
