mindy project bro club adam pally mindy kaling 'The Mindy Project': Mindy and Adam Pally bro out in 'Bro Club for Dudes'Ever wanted to watch a Berenstain Bears book brought to life in prime-time television? Tuesday night’s (Oct. 22) episode of “The Mindy Project,” “Bro Club for Dudes,” does the trick, as the boys club of the Schulman and Associates office essentially staged their own version of the seminal classic Berenstain Bears “No Girls Allowed.”

Mindy (Mindy Kaling) is the only female partner in a practice full of dudes, and the fact that her co-workers have been bonding over things that the ultra-girly Mindy just doesn’t understand (or care about) — and that Mindy thinks the restaurant at a faux-American Girl doll store is an appropriate place for a work lunch — makes her feel like an outsider.

The problem is confounded by the bro-tastic bro-ness of new partner Peter Prentice (Adam Pally), and comes to a head at an amateur ultimate fighting competition featuring guest stars UFC president Dana White and former Hugh Hefner girlfriend/current reality star Kendra Wilkinson.
Oh, also, Josh Peck is in the episode. That guy’s great! He should do more.
Maybe not on this show, because his character was completely irrelevant,
but just in general.

In the end everyone makes up, though, and the gender war ends with some lovely compromise — and Prentice getting his butt kicked. Consider it payment for all those times Max needed some sense physically knocked into his head on “Happy Endings.” Karmically, dude had it coming.

Some good news for Pally: His entry into the Chris Messina impression contest is a solid one, though probably not better than Ike Barinholtz‘s.

What did you think of “The Mindy Project” this week?
