Jimmy Fallon is taking over “The Tonight Show” on February 17 and now he’s got the logo to prove it. Fallon shared the logo for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Twitter Wednesday (Dec. 18).
Fallon will bring “The Tonight Show” back to New York City for the first time in more than 40 years. Johnny Carson moved the show to NBC’s Burbank, Calif., studios in 1972.
NBC is also planning to air the “Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Primetime Special” for Sunday, Jan. 5. The two-hour special will highlight the show’s best moments, including interviews, comedy bits and musical performances.
When Fallon takes over “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night” will be left to Seth Meyers, who is leaving “Saturday Night Live” for the job.
