the vampire diaries rescue me promo 'The Vampire Diaries' promo: Shady siblings Luke and Liv make their move in 'Rescue Me' If you thought Thursday’s (March 20) episode of “The Vampire Diaries” was intense, start preparing yourself now for next week’s episode, “Rescue Me.” Because based on the promo and the spoiler-heavy synopsis for the March 27 episode, things are about to get crazy.

At the end of “While You Were Sleeping,” Elena and Damon tried to break up, but of course they just ended back in bed together. Will they be able to break up for good in the cold light of day, or will they keep falling back in bed (we don’t blame them one bit … see above photo)? Plus, they picked the worst timing to complicate their relationship, since they have to play surrogate parents for Jeremy at his parent-teacher conference at school, and it turns out he’s not doing so well in his classes. That’s probably since he spends so much time at Whitmore College with Bonnie. Too bad he can’t just enroll there and skip the whole high school graduation thing.

Meanwhile, Caroline and Enzo go off on their road trip to Atlanta to find the newly discovered doppelg√§nger to keep Stefan safe from the Travelers. And thanks to their forced one-on-one time together, Enzo opens up to Caroline about his past, “surprising” her. Will sparks start to fly? Obviously, just look at these two!

The shady siblings Luke and Liv are also about to make their move — whatever that may be — since Bonnie “has an unsettling encounter with Luke and learns more about his family history” and Liv “fills Jeremy in on the rumors about the Travelers’ next move and demonstrates her considerable power.” That leads Jeremy to strike an unexpected deal with Liv, and that decision is “devastating” to Elena. What is Jeremy going to do? We know that Liv has a serious crush on Jer, so will he sacrifice himself to the not-so-newbie witch to save all his friends?

Plus, here’s something to make Steroline fans go stir-crazy: “Stefan and Caroline share a special moment of friendship.” Um, say what now?
