For Team Cee Lo’s battles on Monday night’s (March 12) episode of the “The Voice,” Jamar Rogers and Jamie Lono faced off on Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is,” which we are not ashamed to admit is one of our favorite power ballads. We also can’t help but be rooting for Jamar – we remember how great he was on “American Idol” three years ago.

Remember his group performance with Danny Gokey? They did “Somebody to Love” in what was possibly the best group performance of the season. Jamar didn’t advance, but he did return in Season 9, only to drop out of the competition to pursue music his own way.

So who sang it better between Jamar and Jamie? Blake said that he loved Jamie’s vibe, but the other judges were more complimentary of Jamar – Adam Levine even points out that Cee Lo was the only judge who turned around for Jamar at the initial auditions and that makes the rest of them now look like an idiot. Cee Lo ultimately passes Jamar on to the live shows.

Did the right crooner win? We’re tickled to see Jamar get a shot on “The Voice” after getting cut on “Idol,” he and Danny’s Season 8 storyline was one of our favorites.
