csi miami.jpgIf “Law & Order” can do “ripped from the headlines!” episodes, why not “CSI: Miami?”

Picture this: beloved superstar baseball player with a perfect model wife and two beautiful children is in (as first reported) “serious condition” after an automobile crash in his neighborhood. The “CSI: Miami” team is on the case!

As more and more details come to light, it turns out said athlete fought with his model wife prior to the accident. But wait — now it sounds like the model wife heroically, valiantly smashed out the car window to drag her bleeding husband to safety.

Except… rumors (unconfirmed) have just come to light that said athlete is having an affair.

The final frame “CSI” reenactment shows the dramatic domestic dispute over the alleged mistress. The sports figure storms off, angry model wife in hot pursuit, wielding a *ahem* baseball bat. The player’s car crash is actually caused by the enraged wife trying to smash out the back window.

What could David Caruso’s pre-credits line be? “Looks like this sports hero… has struck out.”
