Tim Russert‘s son, Luke, appeared on the "Today" show this morning to talk about his father, his memories and how the family is coping with his dad’s sudden death from a heart attack.

"I spoke to him at least two to three times a day," Luke said. "It had to do with the election coming up, sports or just about life. There was always a lot of love from him. We would always hug. There’s not a day that goes by that I have not known my father loves me. For that, I’m eternally grateful."

The 22-year-old has a tattoo of his dad’s initials.

OK, I think I’m gonna cry. How incredibly sad that Father’s Day will always be so sad for Russert’s family.

Is it a good thing, or a bad thing, that Father’s Day was so close to Tim Russert’s death?

Maybe it’s a good way to commemorate the newsman?

Your thoughts?
