tim tebow la kiss gene simmons gi Tim Tebow: LA KISS, Gene Simmons' arena football team offers QB contractPoor Tim Tebow. The guy can’t catch a break. After a jaw-dropping late season for the Denver Broncos in 2011 that inspired the NFL nickname, “Tebow Time,” Tim was traded off to the New York Jets to warm the bench as, essentially, the third string quarterback behind a flailing Mark Sanchez and actual third-stringer Greg McElroy in 2012-2013. When the Jets drafted QB Geno Smith for the 2013-2014 season, the writing was on the wall and Tebow was dumped again.

Things were looking up when Tebow was picked up by the New England Patriots just before training camp in 2013, but he was dropped again at the start of the pre-season. The ever-positive QB tweeted at the time, “I would like to thank Mr. Kraft, Coach Belichick, Coach McDaniels and the entire Patriots organization for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a classy organization. I pray for nothing but the best for you all. I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback.” He added a BIble verse, 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Well, now it appears Tebow has another chance to QB a football team, but it’s not in the NFL. LA KISS, the arena football league team headed up by rocker Gene Simmons, has offered Tebow a three-year contract, reportedly worth millions of dollars. “Acquiring Tebow would not only be a great investment for the team, but his exciting style of play would definitely send shockwaves through the League,” says Simmons in a press release.
Will Tim bring “Tebow Time” to the Arena League? Hey, it worked for Kurt Warner.
