anna camp getty 320 'True Blood's' Anna Camp spies 'Covert Affairs'USA’s new series “Covert Affairs” is getting some new blood in the form of “True Blood” actress Anna Camp.

Camp will guest-star as a congressional aide in an episode midway through the season. The story finds CIA operative Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) investigating a senator, played by guest star D.W. Moffett (“Friday Night Lights”); Camp’s character works for him. Zap2it was on the “Covert Affairs” set Thursday (June 17) to see Moffett and Camp filming a scene together.

The episode will also feature Lauren Holly (“NCIS”) as the senator’s wife.

Camp is best known for playing preacher’s wife Sarah Newlin on “True Blood” last season. She also guested on the “Sectionals” episode of “Glee” and has appeared on “The Office” and “Numb3rs.”

“Covert Affairs,” which stars Perabo as a new CIA officer whose past may have something to do with her position at the agency. The series, created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, also stars Christopher Gorham (“Ugly Betty”), Kari Matchett (“24”), Anne Dudek (“House,” “Mad Men”), Sendhil Ramamurthy (“Heroes”) and Peter Gallagher (“The O.C.”).

It premieres July 13 on USA.
