tupac hologram snoop coachella Tupac Shakur's hologram spurs jump in album salesAfter late rapper Tupac Shakur’s virtual appearance on the first Sunday (April 15) of Coachella, an increase in sales of his “Greatest Hits” put the album back on the Billboard 200 chart for the first time since 2000, reports Billboard.com.

It re-entered at No. 129 with 4,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. Hologram Tupac also caused an uptick in downloads of his songs like “Hail Mary,” which had 13,000 downloads last week for a 1,530 percent sales increase, and “California Love” (featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman), which saw 11,000 downloads. The rapper’s third best-selling track of the week was “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” (with Snoop Dogg) with 9,000 downloads for an increase of 881 percent.

Hologram Tupac performed both “Hail Mary” and his collaboration with Snoop at the annual Coachella Festival. Dr. Dre, Eminem, Warren G, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa also joined virtual Tupac on stage.
