CBS scored a comfortable ratings win Sunday night with its broadcast of the Academy of Country Music Awards, although the show fell a good amount from last year’s unusually high numbers.

Also Sunday, “Once Upon a Time” improved a little for ABC, but “Resurrection” continued its gradual downward trend in the overnight ratings. “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” were up for FOX.

CBS averaged 13.1 million viewers and a 7.9 rating/13 share in households for the night, finishing well ahead of second-place ABC (6.3 million, 3.9/6). NBC (3.9 million, 2.5/4) edged FOX (3.7 million, 2.0/3) for third overall.

CBS also finished on top among adults 18-49 with a 2.8 rating. ABC came in second with a 1.7, followed by FOX, 1.5, and NBC, 0.8.
