Thursday’s “American Idol” fell to a series low for a regularly scheduled episode, scoring just a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49. A number of other shows were down too as daylight saving time may have had its first real effect on the ratings.

“The Big Bang Theory” remained the night’s most-watched show, but it also tied its lowest rating of the season in the 18-49 demographic. “Community,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Glee” and “The Office” all fell from their most recent originals, and “Grey’s Anatomy” also hit a series low in the demo. NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” bucked the trend, improving in adults 18-49 over its last new episode.

CBS averaged 13.4 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/14 share in households to lead the night. FOX (8.5 million, 5.2/8) came in second, a good distance ahead of third-place ABC (5.6 million, 3.8/6). NBC took fourth with 3.15 million viewers and a 2.1/3. The CW (2 million, 1.2/2) trailed.

The adults 18-49 title also went to CBS, whose 3.1 rating was six-tenths of a point better than FOX’s 2.5. ABC finished third at 1.7, followed by NBC, 1.2, and The CW, 0.8.
